How to Make a Quick Bong: 10 Steps

Smoking enthusiasts often find themselves in situations where they want to enjoy a session, but don’t have their favorite smoking accessories on hand. In such circumstances, creating a quick makeshift bong can save the day. This article explains ten simple steps to make your own bong with items you’re likely to have at home.

Please note: This information is intended for educational purposes only and is not meant to encourage illegal activities.

1. Gather materials: To make a quick bong, you will need an empty plastic bottle (about 16-20 oz), a pen or marker, aluminum foil, a lighter, water, and of course, your choice of tobacco or herbal smoking blend.

2. Remove the labels and cap: Start by peeling off any labels on the plastic bottle and unscrewing the cap. You won’t need the cap for this project.

3. Make the bowl: Cut a square piece (about 3×3 inches) from the aluminum foil. Fold it twice so it forms a smaller square. Then create a small indent for the bowl by pressing your thumb gently into the center.

4. Poke holes in the bowl: Using a needle, toothpick, or sharp pen tip, poke multiple small holes in the indent of your aluminum foil bowl to allow smoke to travel through.

5. Cut an opening in the bottle: Using scissors or a knife, carefully cut a small hole about halfway up the side of the bottle. The hole should be about half an inch wide and not too close to the bottom or top of the bottle.

6. Attach the bowl: Fit the aluminum foil bowl snugly over the hole you just made in the bottle. Gently mold it around the edges to form an airtight seal, making sure not to tear the foil or dislodge any holes you’ve poked.

7. Create a carburetor: Poke a small hole in the upper part of the bottle’s side, opposite to where you positioned your bowl. The hole should be large enough for your fingertip to cover and uncover it easily.

8. Add water: Fill the bottle about a quarter to a third full of water, ensuring that the water level is above the bottom edge of your aluminum foil bowl.

9. Load your smoking blend: Place a pinch of your chosen blend into the bowl, ensuring you don’t block airflow by packing it too tightly.

10. Smoke it up: Place your finger over the carburetor hole, light your smoking blend, and inhale through the top opening of the bottle. Once you’ve filled the chamber with smoke, remove your finger from the carburetor hole and clear the chamber by inhaling.

Now, you’ve turned an ordinary plastic bottle into a functional bong in just ten simple steps. Always remember to dispose of your improvised bong responsibly when you’re done, and never use it as a long-term solution for smoking. Enjoy responsibly!
