Making a phone call from your iPhone is a simple and straightforward process, but it’s important to understand the different methods available, especially for beginners. In this article, we’ll outline the basic steps for making a phone call from your iPhone.

1. Open the Phone app

The Phone app is the green icon with a phone receiver on it that comes pre-installed on every iPhone. If you can’t find it on your home screen, try swiping down from the middle of your screen and searching for “Phone” in the search bar.

2. Choose the contact or number you want to call

You can call someone from your iPhone in several ways. If you want to call someone from your contact list, tap on the “Contacts” tab at the bottom of the Phone app and scroll down until you find the person you want to call. Then, tap their name to bring up their contact information, and tap the green phone icon next to their phone number to start the call. If you want to call someone whose number is not in your contact list, tap on the “Keypad” tab at the bottom of the Phone app and enter their phone number.

3. Place your phone call

Once you’ve selected the person or entered the phone number, tap on the green “Call” button to start the call. You’ll hear the phone ringing, and once the other person answers, you can start speaking to them. During the phone call, you can use the speakerphone, mute, or hold buttons, adjust the volume, or add another caller to make a conference call.

4. End the phone call

To end the phone call, simply tap on the red “End” button and the call will be terminated.

5. Use Siri to make a phone call

If you have an iPhone with Siri enabled, you can use voice commands to call someone without even opening the Phone app. Simply activate Siri by saying “Hey Siri” (if you’ve enabled this feature in your settings), followed by “Call [contact name]” or “Call [phone number].” Siri will automatically dial the number for you.

In conclusion, making a phone call from your iPhone is a simple and intuitive process that requires just a few taps on your screen. Whether you’re calling a friend, a family member, or a business associate, the Phone app provides everything you need to make a successful phone call.
