1. Gather the ingredients: To grill delicious chicken wings, you’ll need fresh chicken wings, your choice of marinade or sauce, and any additional seasonings you prefer.

2. Prepare the chicken wings: Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Remove any excess fat or skin and trim the tips if necessary.

3. Marinate the wings: Place the wings in a large resealable plastic bag or a dish, then add your preferred marinade. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for best flavor.

4. Preheat the grill: Heat your grill to medium-high heat (about 350 degrees Fahrenheit). If using charcoal, wait until the coals are covered in white ash before grilling.

5. Clean and oil the grill grates: Use a grill brush to clean the grates, then lightly coat them with cooking oil to prevent sticking.

6. Season the wings: Remove the chicken from the marinade and allow excess liquid to drain off. Season with any additional spices or herbs as desired.

7. Arrange wings on grill: Place the chicken wings on the preheated grill in a single layer, leaving space between each wing for even cooking.

8. Grill with indirect heat: Cover the grill and let the wings cook using indirect heat. This will prevent flare-ups from dripping fat and allow for even cooking.

9. Monitor cooking progress: Check on your wings every few minutes to ensure they’re not burning or sticking to the grate.

10. Flip wings: After about 10-12 minutes of grilling, flip each wing over to cook evenly on both sides.

11. Apply sauce (optional): If you’re using barbecue or other sauce, brush it onto the wings during the last few minutes of grilling so it doesn’t burn.

12. Check for doneness: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the wings are cooked through. The internal temperature should reach at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

13. Serve and enjoy: Once cooked, remove the wings from the grill, let them rest for a few minutes, then serve with your favorite dipping sauce and accompaniments.

By following these 13 easy steps, you’ll be able to create scrumptious grilled chicken wings that are perfect for any gathering, party, or quiet meal at home. Happy grilling!
