How to Get Pregnant Using Instead Cups

If you’re looking to conceive and have considered various fertility methods, you may have come across the concept of using Instead Cups. This menstrual product has gathered much attention as a unique option to aid conception for those in pursuit of starting a family. In this article, we will delve into the details of how to get pregnant using Instead Cups.

What are Instead Cups?

Instead Cups, more commonly known now as Softcups or Flex Discs, are disposable, soft and flexible menstrual cups that collect menstrual fluid instead of absorbing it like traditional tampons or pads do. Made from hypoallergenic polymeric material, they rest against your cervix and can be comfortably worn for up to 12 hours at a time.

How can Instead Cups help in conception?

The idea behind using Instead Cups for conception is that they can hold sperm close to the cervix for an extended period, thereby increasing the chances of pregnancy. By keeping sperm near the cervix instead of letting it flow out of the vagina, the probability of sperm meeting an egg may be enhanced.

How to use Instead Cups for conception:

1. Timing: As with any fertility method, timing is crucial. Track your menstrual cycle and identify when you are most fertile by charting your basal body temperature or using ovulation predictor kits. Try to time intercourse during your fertile window.

2. After intercourse: Immediately after sex, insert an Instead Cup into your vagina. Pinch the sides of the cup together and position it so that it covers your cervix and collects any semen that might otherwise flow out during subsequent movements.

3. Wear time: Keep the Instead Cup inside for 4-6 hours (or longer) after intercourse to ensure maximum exposure of sperm to the cervix. However, make sure not to exceed 12 hours as cups can become less comfortable or overflow after that point.

4. Removal and disposal: After the recommended time has elapsed, carefully remove the Instead Cup by hooking your finger under the rim and gently pulling it out. Dispose of the cup after use – it should not be reused.
What are the pros and cons of using Instead Cups for conception?

Pros:

– Non-invasive and comfortable to wear

– May increase your chances of conception on account of proximity of sperm to the cervix

– Can be incorporated alongside other fertility methods

Cons:

– No guaranteed results; effectiveness may depend on various factors

– Some people may find insertion and removal difficult or uncomfortable

Final Thoughts:

Using Instead Cups for conception can be a worthwhile method for those seeking non-invasive ways to boost their fertility journey. While there are no guarantees, this approach has garnered positive anecdotes from women who claim success in conceiving with this technique. Consult a healthcare professional if you have concerns or questions about using Instead Cups for conception, and remember that perseverance and patience remain key factors in achieving pregnancy.
