Introduction:

Pixelmon is a popular Minecraft mod that brings the world of Pokémon into your favorite sandbox game. With over 800 Pokémon, new items, and unique features, it’s a must-try for any hardcore Pokémon or Minecraft fan. In this article, we’ll provide a step-by-step guide on how to get Pixelmon up and running on your computer.

Step 1: Download and Install Minecraft

To play with the Pixelmon mod, you’ll first need to have Minecraft installed on your PC. If you don’t already have it, visit https://www.minecraft.net/ and purchase the Java Edition for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux). Download and install the game following the instructions provided.

Step 2: Download Forge

Forge is a tool that makes it easy to install Minecraft mods such as Pixelmon. Visit the Forge website at https://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the latest recommended version compatible with your installed Minecraft version. Don’t forget to choose the “Installer” option.

Step 3: Install Forge

Run the Forge installer file you just downloaded. Click “Install client” and make sure that the path points to your .minecraft folder (usually located in %appdata% on Windows). Once installation is complete, relaunch the Minecraft Launcher. On the launcher’s profile selection screen, choose the “Forge” profile and click “Play.”

Step 4: Download Pixelmon Mod

Next, download the latest version of the Pixelmon mod from their official website at https://pixelmonmod.com/. Click “Downloads,” then click “Download” under “Pixelmon Reforged.” This will download a .jar file.

Step 5: Install Pixelmon

Navigate to your .minecraft folder (that you found earlier in %appdata%). Inside this folder, locate and open the “Mods” folder. If the folder doesn’t exist, create a new folder and name it “Mods.” Place the downloaded Pixelmon .jar file inside this Mods folder.

Step 6: Launch Minecraft with Pixelmon

Now that you’ve installed both Forge and Pixelmon, it’s time to launch Minecraft. Open the Minecraft Launcher, select the “Forge” profile, and click “Play.” Your game should start up with the Pixelmon mod enabled.

Step 7: Configure and Play!

Once you’re in-game, you’ll notice several new options on the main menu. Familiarize yourself with these settings and configure your game to your liking. From there, create a new world or load an existing one to start playing with Pixelmon!

Conclusion:

Getting Pixelmon up and running on your computer is a simple process that only requires a few downloads and installations. With incredible additions to gameplay like over 800 Pokémon, new items, mechanics, and more, it’s hard not to fall in love with this mod. Now that you know how to get Pixelmon, go catch ’em all!
