How to Get a Netflix Student Discount

Netflix has become one of the most popular streaming services in the world today. With a wide range of TV shows, movies, and documentaries at your disposal, it provides the perfect platform for entertainment for students after a long day of lectures and assignments. However, there is no official student discount provided by Netflix, which makes it slightly more expensive for college students. However, there are a few ways to get a Netflix student discount.

  1. Use a VPN to change your location

One of the most common ways to get a student discount on Netflix is by using a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to change your location. The reason for this is that Netflix charges different prices for its services in different countries. For example, in some countries, Netflix is cheaper than in others. Therefore, by changing your location with a VPN, you can potentially get access to the Netflix student discount in other countries.

  1. Share your account with friends or family

Another effective way to get a Netflix student discount is by sharing your account with friends or family. Netflix allows multiple users to use a single account, which means that you can share your account with your roommates, family, or friends. This way, everyone can chip in and pay for the subscription fee, making it more affordable for you as a student.

  1. Use a discounted gift card

You can purchase a discounted Netflix gift card from various retailers online or in-stores, which can save you some money. For example, if you buy a $30 Netflix gift card for $25, you save $5. By using such discounted gift cards, your subscription fee will be lower and more affordable.

  1. Take advantage of free trial periods.

Netflix offers free trial periods to new subscribers, which means you can enjoy the service for free for a certain amount of time. To take advantage of this offer, simply sign up for a new account every time the trial period ends. It is, however, important to note that Netflix continuously monitors their users, and this might not be a long-term solution.

In conclusion, while Netflix has not yet introduced any official student discounts, there are still several ways to save money and get a discounted price. By utilizing VPNs, sharing your account, using discounted gift cards and exploiting free trial periods, you can enjoy your favorite shows and movies with minimal financial impact on your student budget.
