How to Force Restart an iPad Pro
When using an iPad Pro, there are times when you may experience issues such as a frozen screen, unresponsive apps, or other glitches that require a restart. While a regular restart involves simply turning off the device and then turning it back on, a force restart is a little different.
A force restart can be useful when your iPad Pro has become completely unresponsive or when the screen is frozen and won’t respond to touch commands. Here’s how to force restart your iPad Pro.
Step 1: Press and release the Volume Up button
Start by locating the Volume Up button on the side of your iPad Pro. Press and quickly release it.
Step 2: Press and release the Volume Down button
Next, locate the Volume Down button and press and quickly release it.
Step 3: Hold down the Power button
After letting go of the Volume Down button, press and hold down the Power button (also known as the Sleep/Wake button) until the Apple logo appears on the screen. This may take a few seconds, so be patient.
Step 4: Wait for the iPad Pro to restart
Once the Apple logo appears on the screen, let go of the Power button and wait for your iPad Pro to restart. This may take a minute or two, depending on the extent of the issue.
After the restart, your iPad Pro should hopefully function normally. If you continue to experience issues, you may need to seek additional assistance or perform a full factory reset.
