Folding a Razor scooter may seem like a simple task, but it’s important to learn the proper technique to ensure your safety and the longevity of your scooter. Follow these 12 easy steps to get the job done correctly.

.Place the scooter on a flat surface:Locate a level, stable area where you will fold your Razor scooter. Make sure the scooter is upright and secure.

.Engage the kickstand:If your scooter has a kickstand, extend it to ensure that the scooter doesn’t tip over during the folding process.

.Locate the folding latch:Find the folding latch on your Razor scooter, typically located near its base between the front wheel and steering column.

.Unlock the folding latch:To unlock the latch, press it down while holding onto the handlebars with one hand.

.Release the steering column security pin:The security pin is located at the base of the steering column where it meets the deck of your scooter. Press down on this pin while holding onto the handlebars with your other hand.

.Fold down the handlebars:Applying pressure to both latch and pin simultaneously, gently push or pull downward on the handlebars until they fold towards the deck.

.Align handlebars with deck:Ensure that both handlebars are parallel to and aligned with your scooter’s deck.

.Close and secure folding latch:While still holding onto your folded handlebars, use your other hand to close and lock your folding latch so it securely holds both sides of your scooter’s frame together.

.Double-check for security:Give your folded Razor scooter a gentle shake to ensure everything is properly secured, preventing accidental openings during transport or storage.

.Transport or store away:With your Razor scooter now folded, you can take it on-the-go more easily or store it away without taking up too much space.

.Unfolding your Razor scooter:When you’re ready to use your scooter again, simply unlock the folding latch, raise the steering column, and lock it back in place.

.Inspect for damage:Before using your Razor scooter after it has been folded, inspect it for any potential damage or problems caused during the folding process. Check the latch and security pin to make sure they’re functioning correctly.

By following these 12 steps, you can confidently fold and unfold your Razor scooter while ensuring its safety and longevity. Always remember to exercise caution and care when handling your scooter to prevent any unwanted accidents or issues.
