The “Please Wait Until the Current Program is Finished Uninstalling” error message is a very common issue faced by many Windows users. This error message usually pops up on your computer screen when you try to install, update, or uninstall a program. The message indicates that a certain program is still running in the background, and you need to wait for it to finish the current process before proceeding with the installation or uninstallation. In this article, we will guide you on how to fix this error message on your Windows computer.

Method 1: Use Task Manager to Stop the Program

The first solution you should try is to stop the program running in the background using the Task Manager. Here’s how you do it:

Step 1: Press Ctrl + Alt + Del keys on your keyboard to open the Task Manager.

Step 2: Once the Task Manager is open, go to the Processes tab.

Step 3: Find the program that is causing the issue and select it.

Step 4: Click on the End Task button to stop the program.

Step 5: Once the program is stopped, try to install, update, or uninstall the program again.

If this method does not work, continue with the next solution.

Method 2: Restart Your Computer

If the first method did not work, you can try restarting your computer. Often, a simple restart can fix many issues related to the software on your computer, including the “Please Wait Until the Current Program is Finished Uninstalling” error message. Here’s how you do it:

Step 1: Click on the Windows icon at the bottom left corner of your screen.

Step 2: Select the Power icon and click on Restart.

Step 3: Wait for your computer to restart.

Step 4: Once your computer restarts, try to install, update, or uninstall the program again.

Method 3: Use Command Prompt

If the above solutions did not work, you can try using the Command Prompt to fix the error message. Here’s how you do it:

Step 1: Click on the Windows icon at the bottom left corner of your screen.

Step 2: Type “cmd” in the search bar.

Step 3: Right-click on the Command Prompt app and select Run as administrator.

Step 4: Type “net stop [program name]” in the Command Prompt and press Enter.

Step 5: This command will stop the program that is causing the issue.

Step 6: Once the program is stopped, try to install, update, or uninstall the program again.

Conclusion

The “Please Wait Until the Current Program is Finished Uninstalling” error message can be frustrating, but with the above methods, you can easily fix this issue on your Windows computer. The first method is the easiest and the most common solution to this error message. If this solution did not work, you can try the other two methods mentioned above. These methods are simple and easy to follow, even for beginners. We hope this article has helped you fix the error message and get your software installation or uninstallation process back on track.
