If you’re experiencing issues with your Microsoft Store and are unable to download games, then read on. The Microsoft Store is a reliable platform that lets users download and install games on their devices. Yet, sometimes, it can cause problems that prevent users from downloading anything. If you’re one of those users, these tips should help you resolve the issue.

1. Run the Troubleshooter

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter that checks for problems on your computer and tries to fix them. This tool can come in handy if you’re facing Store-related issues. Here’s how to run the troubleshooter:

a. Press the Windows key on your keyboard and type “troubleshoot.”
b. Select “Troubleshoot settings” from the list of options.
c. Click on “Windows Store Apps” and then click “Run the troubleshooter.”

The troubleshooter will start scanning your computer for problems and provide solutions to fix them.

2. Reset the Store Cache

The Microsoft Store stores temporary files on your computer to speed up the process of downloading and installing games. However, these files can pile up and cause problems. To remove them, you can reset the Store cache. Here’s how:

a. Press the Windows key + R to launch the Run dialog box.
b. Type “wsreset.exe” in the box and click OK.
c. A blank command prompt window will appear. Don’t worry; it’s normal.
d. Wait for a few seconds, and the Microsoft Store will launch automatically.

3. Check Your Internet Connection

The Microsoft Store won’t function correctly if you have a weak or unstable internet connection. Make sure your device is connected to a stable network, preferably a wired connection for faster downloads.

4. Check Storage Space

Your device needs free storage space to download and install games from the Microsoft Store. If you don’t have enough space on your device, you won’t be able to install new games. Check your storage space by following these steps:

a. Press the Windows key + I to open Settings.
b. Click on “System” and then on “Storage.”
c. You’ll see how much space is used and how much is free. If you’re running low on storage space, try freeing up some space or get an external hard drive.

5. Update Your System

Sometimes, Store-related issues can occur when you’re running outdated software. To avoid these problems, make sure your system is up to date with the latest updates and patches. Here’s how to check for updates:

a. Press the Windows key + I to open Settings.
b. Click on “Update & Security” and then on “Windows Update.”
c. Click on “Check for updates.” Your system will start scanning for new updates.

6. Contact Support

If you’ve tried everything and still can’t download games from the Microsoft Store, contact Microsoft support. They should be able to provide assistance and help you resolve the issue.

In conclusion, if you’re encountering issues with the Microsoft Store, try these six tips. Running the troubleshooter, resetting the Store cache, checking your internet connection, storage space, updating your system, and contacting support are all useful solutions to ensure your Microsoft Store functions correctly.
