For many people, navigating their way through a city or finding their way to their destination can be challenging. Luckily, smartphones have made navigation a lot easier. With GPS enabled devices available in most smartphones, finding the way has become intuitive and straightforward.

Additionally, these devices offer location tracking features that can prove useful in various ways. The iPhone and iPad are no exceptions, and their Location History feature can come in handy for fathomable reasons. For instance, if you want to go on a holiday to a scenic location, you can check your Location History to see where you have visited earlier.

Here’s a guide on how to find your Location History on your iPhone or iPad:

Step 1: Open the Settings app:

To access your iPhone or iPad’s location history, you have to start by opening the settings app.

Step 2: Tap on Privacy:

In the settings app, scroll down and tap on “Privacy,” which can be recognized by an icon in the shape of a hand pointing left.

Step 3: Select Location Services:

Next, tap on “Location Services”, which is usually the third option listed in the Privacy tab.

Step 4: Tap on System Services:

In the Location Services tab, scroll down to the bottom and tap “System Services”.

Step 5: Select Significant Locations:

In this section, look for “Significant Locations” and tap on it.

Step 6: Provide Authentication:

At this stage, the device will require authentication through either Face ID, Touch ID, or your device’s passcode. Supply any of the required authentication types to proceed.

Step 7: View the History:

Once authenticated, the device displays a list of locations visited, along with the respective dates and times in the Significant Locations tab. The system also shows the total number of times each location was visited.

Step 8: Customize the Settings:

If you want to customize the settings to delete Location History, choose to turn off the feature or choose which apps have access to Location History.

Conclusion:

Overall, location history on iPhones and iPads offers an exciting feature. It’s helpful when you need to check where you have been and how frequently. With the guide above, finding your location history on iPhone or iPad is straightforward.
