How to Drink Corona: 8 Steps

Step 1: Chilling your Corona

To enjoy your Corona at its best, ensure that it is well-chilled before consumption. You can place it in a refrigerator or an ice bucket for about 30 minutes to an hour.

Step 2: Choose the right glass

For a better drinking experience, select a suitable glass. The standard choice is a pint glass or a pilsner glass, which allows the beer’s aromas to be more pronounced.

Step 3: Rinse the glass

Rinse your chosen glass with cold water and let it air dry. A wet, cold glass will keep the beer cool while retaining its fizziness.

Step 4: Opening the bottle

Using a bottle opener or your preferred tool, carefully open the Corona bottle.

Step 5: Adding a wedge of lime (optional)

Corona is often served with a slice of lime to enhance its flavor. Cut a lime into wedges, and push one of them into the bottle’s neck. This will help in releasing the citric aroma and zesty taste as you drink.

Step 6: Pouring the beer

To preserve the carbonation and prevent excessive foam, tilt your rinsed glass at a 45-degree angle and gently pour the beer down its side with a controlled flow. Once your glass is half-full, return it to an upright position and continue pouring until full.

Step 7: Garnishing (optional)

If you prefer, garnish your Corona with an additional lime wedge on top of the glass. It will add visual appeal and give you extra zestiness as desired.

Step 8: Enjoying your Corona

Hold your chilled pint or pilsner glass filled with refreshing Corona at hand, take a sip, and savor the rich flavors. Always drink responsibly and enjoy this classic Mexican lager.

By following these eight simple steps, not only will you drink Corona in style, but you’ll also appreciate its unique flavors and characteristics to the fullest. So sit back, relax, and experience the taste of Mexico with every refreshing sip.
