The Floss dance has become a popular dance craze that has been featured in many viral videos and online challenges. It gained popularity thanks to social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram and even appearances on popular television shows. In this article, we’ll be sharing 10 steps on how you can learn to do the floss dance and join in on the fun.

1. Stand with your legs shoulder-width apart: Maintain balance and ensure proper weight distribution by standing with your feet aligned with your shoulders.

2. Keep your posture straight: Keep your back straight while performing the dance. Avoid leaning forward or slouching throughout the dance sequence.

3. Begin with your arms parallel to the ground: Extend both arms on either side of your body, ensuring they remain parallel to the ground at all times.

4. Step 1 – Swing arms from front to back:

Start swinging both of your arms, keeping them parallel to the ground, first sending one arm forwards and the other arm backwards.

5. Step 2 – Cross arms over hips:

While maintaining straight posture, move your hips left or right. As you do so, cross your arms over each other at hip level.

6. Step 3 – Move hips in opposite direction:

Move your hips in the opposing direction while decrossing your arms from one another. This motion will create a rhythm which constitutes flossing.

7. Repeat steps 1-3 for desired duration: Continue practicing these steps in a fluid motion until you feel comfortable with the rhythm and coordination necessary for proper flossing.

8. Perform floss dance from side-to-side:

Once you feel confident with steps 1-3, start adding side-to-side movements by swaying your hips left and right as you transition between moves.

9. Add personal flair to steps:

Give the floss dance unique flare by incorporating your own style to the moves. Feel free to experiment with different arm and hip movements or add expressive facial expressions.

10. Practice, practice, practice:

As with any new skill or dance move, consistent practice is key to mastering the floss dance. Stay patient and don’t get discouraged; with time and repetition, you’ll be flossing like a pro.

Conclusion:

With these 10 steps on how to do the floss dance, you can feel confident in joining the millions of people who have hopped on this trendy dance bandwagon. Remember, practice makes perfect and adding your own personal style will make your flossing stand out from the rest. Happy flossing!
