A blowout hairstyle is a trendy and timeless way to add volume, shine, and bounce to your locks. This salon-favorite technique can be easily created at home with just a few simple tools and products. In this article, we will provide a step-by-step guide on how to achieve the perfect blowout hairstyle.

What You’ll Need:

1. Hairdryer

2. Round brush

3. Sectioning clips or hair ties

4. Heat protectant spray

5. Hair smoothing serum or oil (optional)

6. Hair spray (optional)

Step 1: Wash and Prep Your Hair

To start, wash your hair with a good quality shampoo and conditioner suited for your hair type. After washing, gently towel dry your hair to remove excess water, but leave it slightly damp.

Step 2: Apply Heat Protectant

Apply a heat protectant spray evenly throughout your damp hair. This will help shield your strands from the heat of the hairdryer and prevent damage.

Step 3: Section Your Hair

Divide your hair into four equal sections – two at the front, one on either side of your head, and two at the back. Secure each section with sectioning clips or hair ties for easy styling.

Step 4: Begin Blow-Drying

Starting with one of the front sections, remove the clip or hair tie and begin blow-drying using a round brush. Place the nozzle of the dryer downward toward the ends of your hair while holding the round brush beneath the section you’re drying.

As you dry each section of hair, lift it at the roots using the brush to create volume and guide it through to the ends while keeping tension on the hair for smoothness.

Step 5: Repeat With Remaining Sections

Move onto another section, releasing it from its clip or tie, and repeat step 4. Continue this process with all the sections, working your way from the front to the back.

Step 6: Smooth and Set

If desired, apply a small amount of hair smoothing serum or oil to your palms and lightly run them over your finished blowout to tame any flyaways and add shine. For added hold, mist a light coating of hair spray over the completed style.

Step 7: Enjoy Your Blowout Hairstyle

Finally, admire your gorgeous blowout in the mirror! This voluminous and sleek hairstyle is perfect for any occasion, from a casual day at the office to a glamorous night out on the town.

To maintain the longevity of your blowout, consider using a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction and frizz while you sleep. So go ahead, give this stylish blowout technique a try at home, and flaunt those salon-worthy locks with confidence!
