An oven is an indispensable appliance in the kitchen, and taking care of it requires regular cleaning and deodorizing. Stubborn odors in the oven can become a distraction and affect the taste of the food cooked in it. Here are 11 steps to help you deodorize your oven.

1. Turn off the oven: Always ensure that the oven is off and cooled down before you begin cleaning or deodorizing it.

2. Gather the necessary supplies: To deodorize your oven, you will need baking soda, white vinegar, a spray bottle, a bowl, a sponge or cloth, rubber gloves, and water.

3. Protect your hands: To avoid irritation from cleaning chemicals or heat residues in the oven, wear rubber gloves before starting with the deodorizing process.

4. Mix a baking soda paste: In a bowl, combine equal parts of baking soda and water to form a thick paste. This homemade solution will help remove grease and eliminate odors from your oven.

5. Apply the baking soda paste: Spread the mixture on all surfaces of the oven using a sponge or cloth. Be sure to avoid any heating elements, vents, or gas openings.

6. Let the baking soda paste sit overnight: Allow the paste to work its magic by giving it ample time to break down grease and absorb odors from your oven.

7. Wipe down your oven: After letting the paste sit for at least eight hours or overnight, use a damp cloth or sponge to gently wipe away the mixture and all grime that has loosened up.

8. Mix white vinegar solution: In a spray bottle, mix equal parts water and white vinegar. This solution will help neutralize odors and break down any remaining residue in your oven.

9. Spray your oven with vinegar solution: Once you’ve removed all baking soda residue from your oven’s surfaces, generously spray the vinegar solution onto any lingering stains.

10. Wipe away the vinegar solution: Allow the vinegar solution to sit on stains for a few minutes before wiping it away with a damp sponge or cloth. Be sure to wipe all surfaces, including oven glass and racks.

11. Dry your oven: Leave the oven door open for a couple of hours to allow it to air dry. Once completely dry, close the oven door and switch your oven back on.

Deodorizing your oven is an essential task to maintain a clean and fresh environment for cooking. By following these 11 steps, you can easily eliminate unpleasant odors from your oven and enjoy hassle-free cooking experiences.
