Creating a Memoji, your personalized and animated version of an emoji, can be a fun and exciting way to express yourself in texts and conversations. With just a few taps on your iPhone X running iOS 12, you can create a Memoji resembling your facial features, hairstyle, and personal style. In this article, we will walk you through the easy process of creating your very own Memoji.

Step 1: Open the Messages App

Begin by launching the Messages app on your iPhone X. This is where you’ll find the tools needed to create a Memoji. Select an existing conversation or start a new one by tapping the compose button located in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Access Animoji

In your chosen conversation, locate the App Strip right above the keyboard section. Amongst other icons, you’ll find an icon of a monkey’s face – this represents Animoji. Tap on this icon to bring up the various Animoji options.

Step 3: Create Your Memoji

Swipe rightwards through the different Animoji faces until you see an icon with a “+” sign labeled “New Memoji.” Tap on it to begin creating your personalized Memoji.

Step 4: Customize Your Appearance

Now comes the fun part! You’ll be presented with various customization options to make your Memoji unique. By scrolling through each category (such as skin color, hairstyle, eyes, eyebrows, nose and lips, ears, facial hair etc.), you can model your Memoji based on your own features or experiment with different styles.

Step 5: Personalize Your Accessories

In addition to shaping your Memoji’s physical appearance, you have options to add accessories such as glasses or earrings. Be as creative as you want when designing your personal emoji character!

Step 6: Save Your Memoji

Once you are satisfied with your Memoji, tap on the “Done” button located in the top-right corner of the screen. Your new Memoji will be saved and added to your Animoji collection.

Step 7: Share Your Creation

Now that your Memoji is created, it’s time to share it with others! In the Messages app’s conversation thread, tap on the newly created Memoji located in Animoji section. Record a message or animate your Memoji by ensuring your face is captured within the in-app camera frame. Tap the red record button and start expressing yourself! To send the message, simply release the record button.

Conclusion:

Creating a personalized Memoji on iPhone X using iOS 12 is a simple, enjoyable process that can add extra character and creativity to your daily conversations. With just a few taps, you can design and express yourself through a fun animated version of you.
