Are you tired of having the hairband or elastic visible in your stylish ponytail? Luckily, you can cover it up easily using your hair for a more polished and elegant look. In this article, we will discuss ten steps to cover a ponytail with hair seamlessly.

1. Start with clean hair: It’s always best to begin with freshly washed and conditioned hair, as it makes styling your ponytail easier.

2. Comb out tangles: Use a wide-toothed comb or a brush to gently remove any tangles in your hair before you start styling it.

3. Create a high or low ponytail: Depending on your preference, gather your hair and secure it in either a high or low ponytail with an elastic hairband.

4. Leave out a small section of hair: When creating the initial ponytail, leave out a small section of hair (about one-inch wide) at the bottom of the ponytail. This strand will be used later to wrap around the elastic band.

5. Secure the stray section: Keep this section separate from the rest of your ponytail by placing a small clip or another elastic band around it for the time being.

6. Prepare for wrapping: Take the separated one-inch section and apply light hairspray or mousse, if needed, to help hold it in place while wrapping around the elastic band.

7. Wrap the strand around the elastic band: Hold your ponytail up, and carefully wrap the separated strand around your elastic band one to two times (depending on its length) until it completely covers it.

8. Secure with bobby pins: Once you have wrapped the strand securely around your ponytail, use one or two bobby pins that match your hair color to hold everything in place. Pin the end of the wrapped strand underneath or inside the ponytail so they aren’t visible.

9. Add some extra hold: Apply hairspray or a light hold gel to the wrapped area to give it some extra staying power throughout the day.

10. Accessorize if desired: To make your ponytail even more fashionable, try adding a cute hair accessory like a bow, flower, or barrette for extra flair.

Now you have a classy and chic ponytail with the elastic band cleverly hidden away! With these ten straightforward steps, your hair will look effortlessly put-together for any occasion. Experiment with different styles and heights of ponytails and enjoy your elegant hairstyle.
