Windows 11 comes with a number of new features and improvements, including an updated clipboard manager. This feature allows you to save multiple items to the clipboard history so that you can easily access and reuse them. However, there may come a time when you want to clear the clipboard history for privacy reasons or to free up space. In this article, we’ll show you how to clear the clipboard history in Windows 11.

Method 1: Using the Settings App

The easiest way to clear the clipboard history in Windows 11 is to use the Settings app. Here’s how:

Step 1: Open the Settings app by clicking on the Start button and selecting the gear icon.

Step 2: Click on the System option.

Step 3: Scroll down to the Clipboard section on the right side of the screen.

Step 4: Under the Clear clipboard data heading, click on the Clear button.

Method 2: Using the Command Prompt

If you prefer using the Command Prompt to clear the clipboard history in Windows 11, you can do so by following these steps:

Step 1: Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.

Step 2: Type cmd and press Enter to open the Command Prompt.

Step 3: Type the following command and press Enter:

cmd /c “echo off | clip”

This will clear the clipboard history.

You can also create a shortcut on your desktop using this command. Right-click on your desktop, select New, and then Shortcut. In the location field, type the above command and give the shortcut a name. Whenever you want to clear the clipboard history, simply double-click the shortcut.

Method 3: Using a Third-Party Tool

If you’re looking for a more advanced clipboard manager that allows you to clear the clipboard history with one click, you may want to consider using a third-party tool like ClipboardFusion.

This free tool not only allows you to clear the clipboard history but also offers features like text transformation, content filtering, custom hotkeys, and more.

To clear the clipboard history using ClipboardFusion, simply right-click on the ClipboardFusion icon in the system tray and select Clear Clipboard History.
