Introduction: Keeping track of your data usage is essential to avoid extra charges and ensure a seamless browsing experience. AT&T offers various methods for its users to check their data usage easily. In this article, we will guide you through eight simple steps to help you monitor your data usage on AT&T.

Step 1: Sign in to Your AT&T Account

First, visit the AT&T website at www.att.com and sign in to your account using your credentials. If you don’t have an account, you can create one by clicking on “Create one now.”

Step 2: Access MyAT&T Dashboard

Once logged in, you will be directed to the MyAT&T dashboard, which provides an overview of your account details and services.

Step 3: Locate Your Data Usage Information

On the MyAT&T dashboard, navigate to the “Wireless” section and click on “View my usage.” This will take you to a page displaying detailed information about your voice, text, and data usage.

Step 4: Understand Your Data Usage Breakdown

The data usage page provides a clear breakdown of the remaining data, used data, and rollover data (if applicable). This information allows you to gauge your consumption and make adjustments if necessary.

Step 5: Set Data Usage Alerts

To receive notifications when you approach your data limit, consider setting up alerts in the account settings section. You can customize these alerts according to your preference for email or text message notifications.

Step 6: Use The myAT&T App

For more convenience, download and install the myAT&T app on your smartphone (available for iOS and Android). Log in with your credentials, then navigate to the “Usage” tab from the home screen or menu. From there, you can view a summary of your data usage.

Step 7: Check Data Usage via Text Message

If you have a mobile device and text messaging capability, you can also check your data usage by sending a text message. Simply send the word “USAGE” to 1511 and you’ll receive a text with your current data consumption.

Step 8: Contact AT&T Customer Support

If you encounter any issues or require further assistance, do not hesitate to reach out to AT&T customer support. They can provide additional details on your data usage and suggest suitable plans if needed.

Conclusion:

Checking your data usage on AT&T is simple with these eight steps. By regularly monitoring your consumption, setting up alerts, and using the myAT&T app, you can prevent unexpected overages and ensure smooth browsing. Keep track of your data usage and enjoy a worry-free experience using AT&T’s services!
