Instagram is undoubtedly one of the most popular social media platforms with over one billion users worldwide. With the wide range of features it offers, Instagram has become an integral part of our lives, and it’s no longer limited to just friends and family. It’s also a platform for businesses, small and large, to promote their products and services.

With such wide usage comes the risk of breaches in privacy, and that’s why Instagram provides its users with tools to protect their accounts and maintain their security.

One such tool is the ability to check and clear your Instagram login activity. This feature helps you keep track of all the devices and locations that your account was accessed from, and helps you identify any unauthorized access to your account.

So, how can you check and clear your Instagram login activity? Here’s everything you need to know.

How to Check Your Instagram Login Activity

Step 1 – Open the Instagram app on your phone and log in to your account.

Step 2 – Tap on your profile picture in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Step 3 – Click on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of your screen.

Step 4 – Navigate to the “Settings” menu and then click on “Security.”

Step 5 – Select “Login activity” from the list of options.

Step 6 – Here you will see a list of all the devices and locations that your Instagram account was accessed from. This includes the date and time of access, as well as the device name and location.

If you notice any suspicious activity, such as access from an unknown device or location, you can click on the three vertical dots next to the activity and select “Log out” to immediately log out of that session.

How to Clear Your Instagram Login Activity

If you want to clear your Instagram login activity history, follow the steps below.

Step 1 – Navigate to the “Login activity” menu using the steps outlined above.

Step 2 – Click on “Clear All” in the top right corner of your screen.

Step 3 – A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm your action. Click “Yes” to clear your login activity history.
Clearing your login activity history is a great way to ensure that no one can access your account history, even if they get hold of your device.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
