In today’s digital age, keeping your online presence up-to-date is more important than ever. This includes updating your personal information like your current location on social media platforms such as Facebook. In this article, we will walk you through the step-by-step process of changing your location settings on Facebook.

1. Log in to Facebook

First, open your favorite web browser and navigate to www.facebook.com. Enter your email address or mobile number and password to log in to your account. If you are already logged in, proceed to the next step.

2. Access Your Profile Page

Once you are logged into your account, click on your profile picture or name located at the top right corner of the screen. This will take you to your profile page.

3. Edit Profile Information

On your profile page, click the “About” tab just below the cover photo. This tab contains sections with different information about you, such as Work and Education, Places You’ve Lived, Contact and Basic Info, and more.

4. Change Your Current City

To update your current city, click on “Places You’ve Lived” in the left-hand column under the “Overview” header. Here you’ll see a list of all locations associated with your account. To add a new city or change an existing one, click the “Add Place” button (in blue) or click on the pencil icon next to an existing location.

5. Update Your Location Information

In this step, you can either search for a new city or edit an existing one by typing in a new location in the field provided and selecting it from the dropdown menu that appears. Choose a description that best describes where you currently reside – like “Lives here” or “From here”. You can also optionally add the month and year when you moved to this location.

6. Save Changes

Finally, click the “Save Changes” button to update your current location. Your profile will now display the new city, and your Facebook friends will be notified of the change.

Conclusion

Changing your location on Facebook is a simple process that can be done in just a few clicks. With this guide, you are now equipped to keep your personal information up-to-date and let your friends know where in the world you are. Remember to regularly review and update your details so that your social network reflects your current life situation accurately.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
