Your Apple ID is undoubtedly one of the most important things you have, as it is the key to accessing all the services that Apple has to offer. Your Apple ID is linked to your email account, and sometimes you may feel that your email account is no longer secure or you may simply want to change it to a new email address that you have created.

Changing your Apple ID email address can seem a bit intimidating, but it’s actually a straightforward process that takes less than five minutes. Here’s how you can change your Apple ID email address.

Step 1: Go to appleid.apple.com

The first thing you need to do is go to the appleid.apple.com website, which is the official Apple ID account management page. Once you are on the page, you will be asked to log in using your current Apple ID and password.

Step 2: Click on “Edit” under the “Account” option

Once you have successfully logged in, you’ll be taken to your Apple ID account page. From there, you will see several options, including your name, email address, and security options. Click on the “Edit” option which is right next to the “Account” option.

Step 3: Change your email address

Once you click on the “Edit” option, you will be asked to enter a new email address that you would like to use as your Apple ID. Simply enter your new email address and then click on “Continue.”

Step 4: Verify your new email

Once you have entered your new email address, Apple will ask you to verify your new email address. You will receive an email on your new email address from Apple. Open it and click on the link provided in the email to verify your new email address. If the link doesn’t work, you can enter the provided six-digit verification code on the same page.

Once you have verified your new email address, your Apple ID email address will be changed. From now on, you’ll use your new email address to log in to your Apple ID account and to make purchases in Apple’s digital stores.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
