Windows 11 comes with a variety of system sounds that play when you perform different actions on your computer, such as opening a program or closing a window. While these sounds can be helpful in providing feedback, they can also be annoying if you don’t like them. Fortunately, you can change the system sounds in Windows 11 to something that is more to your liking. In this article, we will guide you on how to change Windows 11 system sounds.

Step One: Open the Sound Settings

The first step is to open the Sound settings. To do this, right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and select “Open Sound settings.”

Step Two: Select the Sound You Want to Change

Once you are in the Sound settings, scroll down to the “Advanced sound options” section and click on “App volume and device preferences.” Here, you will see a list of apps and their associated sounds. Select the sound you want to change.

Step Three: Choose a New Sound

After selecting the sound you want to change, click on the dropdown menu under “Output” and choose “Windows Default.” This will allow you to choose a new sound from the list of available options.

Step Four: Preview and Apply the New Sound

Once you have chosen a new sound, click on the “Test” button to preview it. If you are happy with the new sound, click on “Apply” to save the changes.

Step Five: Repeat the Process for Other Sounds

If you want to change other system sounds, repeat the process for each sound you want to change.

Step Six: Customize Your Sounds

If you want to use your own sounds, you can create a custom sound scheme. To do this, click on “Sound control panel” under “Related settings” and select the “Sounds” tab. Here, you can create a new sound scheme and assign your own sounds to different system events.

In conclusion, changing Windows 11 system sounds is a simple process that can help you personalize your computer experience. By following these steps, you can choose the sounds that you like and make your computer feel more like your own.
