How to Change the Email and Phone Number on Your Facebook Account

Facebook is a platform that connects us with our loved ones and keeps us updated about the important things happening in their lives. To ensure the security of our Facebook account, we often need to update our personal information. Changing the email and phone number linked to your Facebook account is a crucial step towards securing your account. In this article, we will discuss how you can change the email and phone number on your Facebook account.

Changing the Email Address

Step 1: Login to your Facebook Account

The first step is to log in to your Facebook account. You can log in to your account via the Facebook app or visit the Facebook website on your desktop or mobile.

Step 2: Go to Settings and Privacy

After logging into your Facebook account, click on the down arrow located in the top right corner of your screen. A drop-down menu will appear, click on ‘Settings and Privacy’ and then click on ‘Settings’.

Step 3: Click on the ‘Contact’ tab

In the ‘Settings’ tab, you will find a ‘Contact’ tab on the left-hand side of the screen, click on this tab.

Step 4: Click on the ‘Add Another Email or Mobile Number’ option

Under the ‘Contact’ tab, you will see an option to add another email address or mobile number. Click on the ‘Add Another Email or Mobile Number’ option. Enter the email address that you wish to add, and Facebook will send you a confirmation email. Once you have opened your email and confirmed the new email address, it will be added to your Facebook account.

Step 5: Make the new email your primary address

After adding the email address, go back to the ‘Contact’ tab and hover the mouse over your new email. Click on the ‘Make primary’ option to make this new email address your primary email address.

Changing the Phone Number

Step 1: Login to your Facebook Account

The first step to changing your phone number on Facebook is the same as changing your email address. You need to log in to your Facebook account.

Step 2: Go to Settings and Privacy

Click on the down arrow located in the top right corner of your screen. A drop-down menu will appear, click on ‘Settings and Privacy’ and then click on ‘Settings’.

Step 3: Click on the ‘Contact’ tab

Under the ‘Settings’ tab, click on the ‘Contact’ tab located on the left-hand side of the screen.

Step 4: Click on the ‘Add another phone number’ option

Under the ‘Contact’ tab, there will be an option to add another phone number. Click on the ‘Add another phone number’ option.

Step 5: Enter the new phone number

Enter the mobile number that you wish to add and click on the ‘Add phone number’ button. Once you have added the phone number, Facebook will send you a confirmation code via SMS.

Step 6: Confirm the new phone number

Enter the confirmation code that you received via SMS and click on the ‘Continue’ button. Your new phone number will be added to your Facebook account.

In conclusion, changing the email address and phone number linked to your Facebook account is simple and can be done in a few easy steps.
