Snapchat is a popular social media platform known for its unique disappearing messages and creative photo filters. One of the features that sets Snapchat apart from other apps is the ‘Snap Score,’ a numerical rating assigned to each user. This article will guide you on how to calculate your Snap Score so you can understand its significance and improve it!

Step 1: Understanding Snap Scores

Your Snap Score is a measure of your overall activity within the Snapchat app. It’s calculated based on the total number of snaps you’ve sent and received, as well as other factors like your usage of Stories and interactions with friends.

Step 2: Check Your Current Snap Score

To view your current Snap Score, follow these steps:

1. Open the Snapchat app.

2. Tap the Bitmoji or profile icon in the top-left corner of the screen.

3. Your snap score will be displayed beneath your username.

Step 3: Calculating Your Snap Score

While Snapchat doesn’t disclose its exact algorithm for calculating scores, it’s widely accepted that you earn points through the following actions:

1. Sending a snap (photo or video) – 1 point

2. Receiving a snap – 1 point

3. Posting a Story – 1 point

Notes:

– Group chat snaps contribute to your score as well.

– Text messages or chats don’t contribute towards your score.

– Snapchat occasionally rewards bonus points for being an active user and interacting with others.

Step 4: Tips to Increase Your Snap Score

If you’re aiming to increase your Snap Score, consider these tips:

1. Engage with friends more often by sending and receiving snaps regularly.

2. Create and post Stories frequently to garner more views.

3. Participate in interactive features such as playing Snapchat games or sending viral snaps.

Conclusion:

Understanding how the Snap Score works can motivate users to engage more actively on the Snapchat platform and strengthen relationships with friends. By following the steps above and interacting with others, you can boost your Snap Score and enjoy the full Snapchat experience. Just remember that social media should never consume too much of our time, so it’s essential to maintain a healthy balance between your online and offline lives.
