If you’re a streamer or frequent viewer on Twitch, you know that sometimes it’s necessary to block or unblock someone. Maybe they’re being toxic, spamming the chat, or just plain annoying. Whatever the reason, here’s how to block and unblock someone on Twitch.

Blocking Someone on Twitch

Step 1: Locate the user’s profile

To block someone on Twitch, first, you need to locate their profile. You can do this by clicking on their username in Twitch chat or by searching for their profile using the search bar.

Step 2: Select ‘block user’

Once you’ve found the user’s profile, click on the three dots in the top-right corner of their profile. This will open a drop-down menu, and you’ll need to select “block user” from the list.

Step 3: Confirm the block

After selecting “block user,” you’ll be prompted to confirm that you want to block the user. Click “confirm” to block the user.

Unblocking Someone on Twitch

Step 1: Locate the user’s profile

To unblock someone on Twitch, you’ll need to locate their profile. If you’ve blocked them before, this may require some searching.

Step 2: Select ‘manage blocked users’

Once you’ve found the user’s profile, click on the three dots in the top-right corner of their profile. This will open a drop-down menu, and you’ll need to select “manage blocked users” from the list.

Step 3: Select ‘unblock’

In the “manage blocked users” menu, you’ll see a list of all the users you’ve blocked on Twitch. Find the user that you want to unblock and click the “unblock” button next to their name.

Step 4: Confirm the unblock

After selecting “unblock,” you’ll be prompted to confirm that you want to unblock the user. Click “confirm” to unblock the user.

Conclusion

Blocking and unblocking someone on Twitch is a straightforward process. It’s important to remember that blocking someone on Twitch doesn’t prevent them from watching your stream; it only prevents them from interacting with you in chat or sending you whispers. If you’ve blocked someone in the past and want to give them another chance, unblocking them is just as easy as blocking them. Just remember to always prioritize your mental health and safety on the platform, and don’t hesitate to block someone if they’re violating Twitch’s terms of service or your personal boundaries.
