Adding stickers to your Instagram stories and posts is a creative way to engage with your audience, express your mood, and add a fun twist to your content. Whether you’re new to Instagram or you’re looking to spice up your posts, here’s a simple guide on how to utilize this playful feature.

Adding Stickers to Instagram Stories:

1.Start Your Story: Open your Instagram app, swipe right or tap on the camera icon in the top left corner of the screen to access the story feature.

2.Capture Content: Take a photo or video by pressing the circle button at the bottom of the screen, or swipe up to select media from your device’s gallery.

3.Access Stickers: Once you have your content ready, tap on the sticker icon at the top of the screen – it looks like a square smiley face.

4.Choose Your Sticker: Scroll through the sticker options such as hashtags, time, location, polls, emojis, GIFs, and more.

5.Add & Customize: Tap on a sticker to add it to your story. You can drag it to position it, pinch it with two fingers to change its size or tap it for additional color options or styles if available.

6.Add More Stickers: If desired, you can repeat the process to add multiple stickers.

7.Finish Up: Once you are satisfied with your sticker placements, tap “Your Story” at the bottom of the screen to share it with all of your followers or select “Close Friends” for a more private option.

Adding Stickers to Instagram Posts:

While Instagram does not currently allow users to add animated stickers directly onto feed posts like they do with stories, you can still add visual elements similar to stickers via third-party apps before uploading them.

1.Use A Third-Party App: Choose an app that allows you to add graphics and stickers onto photos such as Canva or Adobe Spark.

2.Design Your Post: Upload your photo into the app and use their sticker library to customize your post.

3.Save & Upload To Instagram: Once you are happy with how your post looks, save the image onto your device and then upload it on Instagram as you normally would.

With these easy steps, you can make your stories and posts more interactive and engaging for friends and followers alike. Don’t forget that stickers aren’t only fun but also useful for encouraging audience participation through questions, polls, and more. Get creative!

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
