How to Add or Remove Someone from the People Album on iPhone and Mac

The People album on your iPhone or Mac is a powerful tool for sorting, grouping and sharing photos of people. It uses facial recognition technology to identify people in your photos, and then groups them together in a separate album.

If you’re using the People album on your iPhone or Mac, you may want to add or remove people from the album from time to time. Fortunately, it’s easy to do.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to add or remove someone from the People album on your iPhone and Mac.

Adding Someone to the People Album on iPhone

1. Open the Photos app on your iPhone.
2. Tap on the “Albums” tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. Scroll down to find the “People” album, and then tap on it.
4. If you see the person’s face in the album already, tap on it to open the photos.
5. If you don’t see the person’s face, you can start by selecting a photo of the person from your camera roll.
6. Look for the “Add Name” option in the top left corner of the screen.
7. Type in the person’s name, and then tap on “Done” in the top right corner of the screen.

Removing Someone from the People Album on iPhone

1. Open the Photos app on your iPhone.
2. Tap on the “Albums” tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. Scroll down to find the “People” album, and then tap on it.
4. Find the photo or photos of the person you want to remove.
5. Tap and hold on the photo until a menu appears.
6. Select “Remove from People” from the menu.
7. Confirm that you want to remove the person from the album.

Adding Someone to the People Album on Mac

1. Open the Photos app on your Mac.
2. Click on the “People” tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. If you see the person’s face in the album already, click on it to open the photos.
4. If you don’t see the person’s face, you can start by selecting a photo of the person from your camera roll.
5. Look for the “Add Name” option in the top left corner of the screen.
6. Type in the person’s name, and then press “Return” on your keyboard.

Removing Someone from the People Album on Mac

1. Open the Photos app on your Mac.
2. Click on the “People” tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. Find the photo or photos of the person you want to remove.
4. Click on the photo once to select it.
5. Look for the “Remove Name” option in the top right corner of the screen.
6. Click on “Remove Name” to remove the person from the album.

In conclusion, the People album on your iPhone and Mac can be a great tool for organizing your photos. If you need to add or remove someone from the album, simply follow the steps outlined above. With a little bit of practice, you’ll be adding and removing people from the People album like a pro!
