Adding a border to a Word document can be a useful way to highlight important information or create a professional-looking document. Removing a border is just as easy when you no longer need it. Here is a quick guide on how to add and remove a border from a Word document.

Adding a border:

Step 1: Open the Word document you want to add a border to.

Step 2: Select the text or paragraph you want to add a border to. If you want to add a border to the entire page, skip this step.

Step 3: Go to the “Home” tab in the top navigation menu.

Step 4: Click on the “Borders” button, which is located in the “Paragraph” section of the toolbar.

Step 5: Select the type of border you want to add. You can choose from a variety of options, including a solid line, dashed line, dotted line, or double line. You can also change the color of the border by clicking on the “Borders and Shading” button.

Step 6: Adjust the thickness of the border by clicking on the “Borders and Shading” button and selecting the “Options” tab. Here, you can adjust the size and spacing of your border.

Step 7: Click on the “OK” button to add the border to your document.

Removing a border:

Step 1: Open the Word document that contains the border you want to remove.

Step 2: Highlight the text or paragraph that contains the border. If you want to remove the border from the entire document, skip this step.

Step 3: Go to the “Home” tab in the top navigation menu.

Step 4: Click on the “Borders” button, which is located in the “Paragraph” section of the toolbar.

Step 5: Select “No Border” to remove the border from your document.

Step 6: Click on the “OK” button to complete the removal of your border.

In conclusion, adding and removing borders in Word documents is a simple process that can take your document from bland to professional in just a few clicks. With these easy steps, you can easily add or remove borders to highlight important information or create a clean, professional-looking document. Take advantage of formatting options in Word to make your documents stand out!
