Gun on School Campus
Oakley Police responded to Gehringer Elementary School after a child brought a backpack containing a loaded handgun to school. The gun belonged to the child’s father, who mistakenly left it in the child’s backpack. The father cooperated with the police, and the case will be forwarded to the District Attorney for potential charges.
