QR codes, or quick response codes, are two-dimensional barcodes that can be read by smartphones with a camera and a QR code reader app. They have become increasingly popular in recent years and can be used for a variety of purposes, including marketing, advertising, and information sharing. However, QR codes can also be used for fun and creative purposes. Here are some fun things to do with QR codes:

1. Create a QR code scavenger hunt: Create a scavenger hunt that requires participants to scan QR codes to receive clues or directions to the next location. This is a great way to get people moving and engaged in an activity.

2. Make a QR code puzzle: Create a puzzle that requires participants to scan a series of QR codes in a specific order to solve the puzzle. This can be a fun way to challenge your friends or family members.

3. Use QR codes in a board game: Incorporate QR codes into a board game to add an extra level of interaction and engagement. For example, players could scan QR codes to receive bonus points or to unlock special items.

4. Create augmented reality experiences with QR codes: Use QR codes to create interactive augmented reality experiences. For example, participants could scan a QR code to see a virtual object or character overlaid onto the real world.

5. Use QR codes to create a digital photo album: Create a digital photo album and include QR codes that lead to additional photos or videos related to the event or location. This is a great way to share memories with friends and family.

6. Create a QR code art project: Use QR codes as part of an art project. For example, participants could scan QR codes to reveal hidden messages or images within the artwork.

7. Embed QR codes in a video: Use QR codes in a video to allow viewers to interact with the content. For example, a QR code could lead to additional information about a product or service.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
