The internet is full of amazing resources that can help unleash your creativity, and free online drawing and painting tools are a prime example. Regardless of whether you’re an experienced artist or a beginner, these tools allow you to create stunning works of art right from the comfort of your own home.

One of the best things about free online drawing and painting tools is that they are accessible to everyone. You don’t need any special software or hardware to use them, just an internet connection and a desire to create something beautiful. From basic tools that let you create simple sketches to advanced applications that allow you to create detailed paintings, there are plenty of options out there.

One of the most well-known free online drawing tools is Sketchpad, an interactive application that allows you to create, share and find new community-made content. Its robust interface offers multiple layers, grouping objects, and precise object manipulation. Its impressive selection of brush sizes and types, including vector brushes and 3D brushes, make Sketchpad a power tool for every digital artist.

Another great free tool is PaintZ, a browser-based application that lets you create amazing artworks. It has a range of tools that enable users to create shapes, gradients, and artistic effects, and also offers a range of filters and effects that can be used to add depth and texture to your work.

If you’re looking for something more advanced, you might want to try out Krita, an open-source drawing and painting tool that’s aimed mainly at digital artists. Krita gets its name from the Swedish word for “crayon”, which perfectly describes the app’s pencil and brush tools. Krita is versatile, featuring a range of customizable brushes, painting assistants, and texture packs that can help you create unforgettable works of art.

For those who are just learning how to draw or paint, there are plenty of free online resources to explore. Paint online is an excellent choice for beginners, featuring a simple interface with a range of brush types and colors. It’s an excellent starting point for budding artists who want to understand the basics of color theory and art techniques.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
