1. Time Machine – Time Machine is a built-in backup application for Mac. It automatically backs up everything on your Mac, including system files, applications, accounts, preferences, music, photos, movies, and documents. You can restore your files from a backup file or recover your entire system in case of a catastrophic failure.

2. Carbon Copy Cloner – Carbon Copy Cloner is a simple and powerful backup application for Mac. It lets you clone your entire Mac hard drive to an external drive or another Mac. You can schedule backups, customize backup options, and access your files from the clone drive if your Mac fails to boot.

3. SuperDuper! – SuperDuper! is another backup application that provides a simple and effective way to create a bootable backup of your Mac. It lets you choose an external drive or another Mac as your backup destination, and you can schedule backups to run automatically at a specific time.

4. Backblaze – Backblaze is a cloud-based backup application that automatically backs up your Mac to a secure data center. It offers unlimited storage space, continuous backup options, and easy file access from any device with an internet connection.

5. iCloud – iCloud is a cloud storage service offered by Apple. It allows you to store, sync, and backup your Mac files and data across all your Apple devices. It also offers automatic backup features for your photos, videos, and documents. iCloud gives you a free 5GB storage space to start, and you can purchase more storage plans as needed.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
