EMS Funding Challenges
Johnson County, which includes Burleson, is facing challenges in providing adequate EMS services due to rapid population growth and limited healthcare options. County Commissioner Rick Bailey emphasized the need for more ambulances and better funding to address the increasing demand for emergency medical services. The county recently approved a $1.5 million contract with CareFlite to improve EMS coverage.
