Can You Use the Oculus Quest With a PS4?

The Oculus Quest is a popular standalone VR headset that has been making waves in the VR world since its release. However, some users may wonder whether they can use the Oculus Quest with their PS4 console.
Unfortunately, the answer is no – you cannot use the Oculus Quest with a PS4. The Oculus Quest uses its own operating system and software, which is not compatible with the PS4 platform.

Additionally, the PS4 console does not offer VR support for the Oculus Quest or any other third-party VR headset. The PS4’s VR platform is exclusively compatible with the PlayStation VR headset, which is a wired headset that requires connection to the console.

While it may be disappointing for those who were hoping to use their Oculus Quest with their PS4, there are still plenty of other VR options available for PS4 users. The PlayStation VR headset offers a broad range of immersive games and experiences, and Sony continues to develop and support the platform.
There are also other third-party VR headsets that are compatible with the PS4, such as the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift. However, these headsets require a powerful gaming PC to be connected to the console, which can be expensive and require additional setup.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
