Can You Change the iOS Text Color on an iPhone?

The user experience on an iPhone is tremendous, and part of what makes it so delightful is the ability to customize it in a variety of ways. The device has numerous functionalities but sometimes people still struggle with personalizing their text colors especially for accessibility or aesthetic purposes. If you’ve ever found yourself wondering how to change the iOS text color on your iPhone, read on.

First, the default iOS setting shows black text on a white background. But for those who have visual hygiene issues, the white screen can be detrimental to the eyes, causing them to strain after prolonged use. For these individuals, changing the text color to something else can make for a more comfortable browsing experience.

However, it’s important to note that changing the iOS text color isn’t a straightforward process, and, in some cases, it isn’t possible. This is because Apple’s restrictions and guidelines do not permit altering the default color.

The most direct way of changing the iOS text color is by employing a third-party app. Although Apple doesn’t have any official third-party app recommendations, one app that comes with commendation is the Color Text Buble Message app. This app lets you write messages with a variety of font styles and colors, enabling you to change the text color of your text message bubbles.

But if you’re still looking to change the text color of other apps or device functions such as Siri and notifications, Jailbreaking your iPhone may be the solution. Jailbreaking can be quite risky and usually voids your warranty, so proceed with caution.

In conclusion, although changing iOS text color on your iPhone might not be as straightforward as it would be on other platforms, it is still possible. With the right third-party apps, you can give your iPhone a facelift and make it more color-coordinated, which can be beneficial for those with visual issues, or for people who simply want a customized device. However, we recommend caution when it comes to jailbreaking your iPhone, as this can lead to unexpected consequences.
