Blackview MP60 Mini PC: Expandable Storage but Unremarkable Performance

Blackview, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has stepped into the mini PC market with its new product – the Blackview MP60 Mini PC. It is a small form-factor PC that aims to offer a compact yet functional computing experience to its users. The device comes equipped with the Android operating system, which offers a range of applications to explore. However, it struggles with performance, making it less than impressive.

The standout feature of the Blackview MP60 is its expandable storage. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 1TB through USB HDD. The expandable storage is a significant selling point for users who need ample space to store data, images, and videos.

The Blackview MP60 features a quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 ARM processor and a Mali-T720 GPU. These specifications are not particularly impressive and might feel sluggish for more demanding tasks. While the device can handle basic word processing and web browsing, it struggles during more complicated tasks like video editing or gaming.

One area where Blackview MP60 excels is the connectivity options. It has two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port, an SD card slot, and an Ethernet port. The device also comes with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity options, making it easy to connect to other devices.

Despite its compact size, the Blackview MP60 does not sacrifice on the ability to output 4K video. It also offers support for HDR10, which enhances the viewing experience by displaying more vivid colors and creating more contrast between light and dark areas.

Another issue with the Blackview MP60 is the external power supply. The device needs a separate power supply unit, which can be inconvenient for users who want an all-in-one solution. Without this, the Blackview MP60 might feel incomplete, and users may have to spend extra time to gather all the necessary pieces.

Overall, the Blackview MP60 Mini PC is a good option for those who want a compact, affordable mini PC with expandable storage. However, it struggles with performance and might not be suitable for intensive tasks such as gaming or video editing. If you require high performance, you may need to spend a little more and look for alternatives, but for basic computing needs, the Blackview MP60 does the job decently.
