Best Wedding Shoes for Men to Wear on the Big Day!

When picking the perfect shoes for your wedding day, men should consider both style and comfort. The best wedding shoes should complement the suit and the overall theme of the wedding while also providing enough comfort to last through the ceremony, photos, and reception.

Oxford Shoes are a classic choice for weddings. They’re characterized by their closed lacing system, which offers a sleek silhouette making them an ideal companion for formal attire. Black patent Oxfords are a staple for black-tie events, whereas brown leather Oxfords can work well with blue or grey suits for a less formal look.

Derby Shoes are another popular selection. Their open lacing system gives them a more relaxed fit, which can be good for those with wider feet. While slightly less formal than Oxfords, Derbys in darker leathers still pair well with wedding suits.

Loafers bring a mix of sophistication and comfort. A high-quality leather loafer can be both formal and comfortable, perfect for those who prioritize ease of wear but still want to maintain elegance.

For summer or destination weddings, consider Brogues or Wingtips with intricate perforations that offer a stylish touch and breathability. They lend themselves well to less traditional or outdoor weddings.

For the contemporary groom, Monk Strap Shoes with single or double buckles provide a modern twist on traditionalism. They can be a conversation starter and add personality to classic wedding attire.

Lastly, it’s worth considering investing in shoes that can be worn after the wedding day. Many designer dress shoes fit this criterion and may come with added benefits such as durability and time-tested style.

Remember to break in your shoes before the big day to avoid discomfort and consider adding cushioned insoles for extra support. Whether traditional or modern, classic or casual, make sure your wedding shoes reflect your personal style while keeping your feet comfortable from “I do” until the last dance.
