Treat Williams is a versatile actor whose performances have consistently impressed both audiences and critics alike over the years. With a career spanning five decades, he has an impressive list of films and television shows to his credit. Here are some of his best performances.

1.”Hair” (1979) – George Berger

In Milos Forman’s film adaptation of the classic Broadway musical, Treat Williams brought to life the charismatic and free-spirited George Berger. His performance captured the essence and energy of the 1960s counterculture movement, showcasing not just his acting abilities but also his singing and dancing skills.

2.”Prince of the City” (1981) – Daniel Ciello

Williams earned widespread acclaim for his role as Daniel Ciello in Sidney Lumet’s gritty crime-drama “Prince of the City.” His portrayal of a New York cop struggling with corruption in the police force was both intense and authentic, earning him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama.

3.”Everwood” (2002-2006) – Dr. Andrew Brown

On television, Williams shined as Dr. Andrew Brown on the family drama series “Everwood.” As a widowed brain surgeon who relocates his family to small-town Colorado, his character’s journey through grief, healing, and building new relationships struck a chord with viewers for its heartfelt depth.

4.”The Late Shift” (1996) – David Letterman

Williams captured the quirks and character of iconic talk show host David Letterman in the made-for-TV movie “The Late Shift.” The film focused on the real-life battle for late-night television supremacy between David Letterman and Jay Leno, with Williams’ spot-on performance winning him another Golden Globe nomination.

5.”Heartland” (1989) – Tom Jordache

Based on Irwin Shaw’s novel “Beggarman, Thief,” Williams excelled as Tom Jordache in this television miniseries sequel to “Rich Man, Poor Man.” His portrayal of a man dealing with family drama and business challenges showcased his ability to carry a complex character over an extended narrative.

These performances are just a few highlights from Treat Williams’ long career in entertainment. His dedication to his craft is evident in every role he takes on, making him one of those actors who truly elevates every project he is part of. Whether on stage or screen, Treat Williams continues to be an actor worth watching.
