Introduction:

Do you love chocolate and ice cream? Combine the best of both worlds with this delicious and indulgent Death by Chocolate Ice Cream Cake recipe. Perfect for any celebration or just satisfying your sweet tooth, this dessert is easy to make and sure to impress.

Ingredients:

1. 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus required ingredients)

2. 2 quarts chocolate ice cream, slightly softened

3. 1 cup hot fudge sauce

4. 1 cup chocolate chips

5. Optional: whipped cream, cherries, or your favorite toppings for garnish

Instructions:

1. Prepare the chocolate cake according to the instructions on the box. Bake in two 8-inch round cake pans, then let it cool completely.

2. Meanwhile, line a 9-inch springform pan with plastic wrap (this helps prevent sticking and eases removal later).

3. Scoop half of the softened chocolate ice cream onto the bottom of the springform pan, spreading it evenly.

4. Once the cakes are completely cooled, place one of the rounds on top of the layer of ice cream in the springform pan.

5. Drizzle about half a cup of hot fudge sauce on top of the cake layer.

6. Add another layer of ice cream on top of the hot fudge sauce – use all but a couple scoops (you’ll want to save some for decorating).

7. Place the second round of cake on top and press it down gently.

8. Drizzle with the remaining hot fudge sauce and sprinkle with chocolate chips.

9. Place reserved scoops of ice cream around edges.

10. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until firm.

11. When ready to serve, remove from freezer and carefully release from springform pan, then peel away the plastic wrap.

12. Allow to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before slicing to make it a bit easier to cut.

13. (Optional) Garnish with whipped cream, cherries, or your favorite toppings before serving.

With this Death by Chocolate Ice Cream Cake recipe, you’ll be able to create an unforgettable dessert that’s perfect for special occasions or when you just want to treat yourself. Enjoy!
