Introduction:

Caprese Chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make Italian-inspired dish that combines the flavors of classic caprese salad with tender, seasoned chicken. This recipe brings together juicy tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, and balsamic glaze to create a meal that is perfect for any weeknight dinner or special occasion. Follow this guide to learn how to make the best Caprese Chicken!

Ingredients:

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– Salt and pepper, to taste

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved

– 1 cup fresh mozzarella balls or sliced mozzarella

– 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped or whole

– Balsamic glaze, for drizzling

– Optional: fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.

3. In a large oven-safe skillet or baking dish, heat two tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.

4. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown. Make sure not

to overcook the chicken as it still needs time in the oven.

5. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the tomatoes by halving them and slicing or gathering your mozzarella.

6. Once the chicken is browned, remove the skillet from heat and scatter the cherry tomatoes around the chicken breasts.

7. Top each chicken breast with a generous amount of mozzarella.

8. Place the skillet or baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the thickest part of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

9. Remove the skillet or baking dish from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.

10. To finish, sprinkle the fresh basil leaves over the top of the chicken and tomatoes, then drizzle some balsamic glaze over everything.

11. Serve immediately with a side of your choice, such as a fresh salad, pasta, or roasted vegetables.

Garnish with additional fresh basil leaves if desired and enjoy your mouthwatering Caprese Chicken! The exquisite blend of flavors in this dish is sure to impress your family and friends, making it a new go-to recipe for any occasion.
