The satisfying combination of tangy balsamic vinegar, fragrant basil, and juicy chicken makes this Balsamic Basil Chicken recipe an absolute delight for any mealtime. Not only is this dish delicious, but it’s also quite easy to prepare, making it a perfect weeknight dinner option. In this article, you’ll learn how to make the best Balsamic Basil Chicken you’ve ever tasted.

Ingredients:

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

– 1/4 cup olive oil

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh basil

– Salt and pepper to taste

– Optional: cherry tomatoes and fresh mozzarella for garnish

Instructions:

1. Prepare the marinade: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, and chopped basil. Season with salt and pepper according to your preference.

2. Marinate the chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a large zip-top plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours for maximum flavor.

3. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, coat it lightly with non-stick cooking spray.

4. Remove the marinated chicken from the bag or dish, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side or until fully cooked through and an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) is reached. Be careful not to overcook.

5. Let the cooked chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing or serving whole.

6. Optional: If you’d like to add cherry tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, just skewer them on a toothpick or small skewer and grill them alongside the chicken for a few minutes until the tomatoes are slightly softened and the mozzarella is melty.

Serve your Balsamic Basil Chicken over a bed of fresh greens, with steamed vegetables, or alongside your choice of grains. Drizzle any remaining marinade or juices from cooking over the dish for an extra burst of flavor. Now that you know how to make this delicious recipe, enjoy impressing your family and friends with your culinary skills!
