Are you looking for a delightful, refreshing, and healthy salad recipe to serve this holiday season? Look no further! Our Best Apple Salad Recipe is here to save the day. Packed with fresh apples, crunchy nuts, dried fruits, and a tangy dressing, this delicious and eye-catching salad is perfect for any festive gathering. So here’s how you can make this exquisite Holiday Apple Salad.

Ingredients:

– 4 medium-sized apples (preferably 2 red-skinned and 2 green-skinned for color contrast), cored and diced

– 1 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans

– 1/2 cup of dried cranberries or raisins

– 1/2 cup of blue cheese or feta cheese, crumbled

– 5 oz baby spinach or mixed greens

– Salt and pepper to taste

For the dressing:

– 1/4 cup of olive oil

– 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar

– 1 tablespoon of honey (or maple syrup)

– 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Prepare the ingredients: Wash the apples and dice them into bite-sized chunks (approximately 1/2-inch). Roughly chop the nuts. If using baby spinach or mixed greens, ensure they are washed and dried well.

2. Make the dressing: In a small bowl or jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the olive oil, apple cider vinegar, honey (or maple syrup), Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Whisk well with a fork or shake vigorously until all ingredients are well combined. Set aside.

3. Assemble the salad: In a large serving bowl, add the baby spinach (or mixed greens) as a base layer. Then, distribute the diced apples evenly on top of the greens. Sprinkle the chopped nuts, dried cranberries (or raisins), and crumbled blue (or feta) cheese.

4. Dress the salad: Just before serving, drizzle the dressing over the salad and gently toss to combine. Season with additional salt and pepper if desired.

5. Enjoy your Holiday Apple Salad! This salad is best enjoyed immediately after preparing as the apples may oxidize and change color if left for too long.

The Holiday Apple Salad proves that a stunning dish doesn’t always have to be complicated. The perfect blend of flavors and textures in this recipe creates an impressive presentation that is sure to be a hit with family and friends. So go ahead, make this delightful apple salad, and add a bit of vibrant freshness to your holiday table.
