Baldur’s Gate 3: Best Fighter Multiclass Build

Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the most anticipated role-playing games, and creating the perfect multiclass character can greatly enhance your gameplay experience. When it comes to fighters, a well-executed multiclass build can turn you into a veritable juggernaut on the battlefield. Here’s an effective Fighter multiclass build to dominate in Baldur’s Gate 3.

 Starting Class: Fighter

Begin by choosing the Fighter as your starting class to lay a solid foundation with heavy armor proficiency and martial weapon mastery. Selecting the right race is also key. Humans offer versatility with their ability bonus, and Variant Humans can provide a valuable feat at first level, such as Great Weapon Master or Sentinel.

 Multiclass Option: Rogue

For your multiclass option, integrating levels of Rogue brings stealthy tactics and skill proficiencies to your heavy-hitting Fighter. Aim for at least three levels in Rogue to gain access to the Roguish Archetype feature; “Assassin” is particularly lethal for its automatic critical hits on surprised enemies.

 Ability Scores

Invest heavily in Strength or Dexterity based on your preferred weapon choice (heavy weapons vs. finesse). Constitution should also be a priority to withstand the rigors of frontline combat. Intelligence or Wisdom bolsters skills that complement the Rogue’s utility.

 Skills and Feats

Focus on skills that benefit from your multiclass like Stealth or Acrobatics. The Alert feat is excellent for ensuring you act early in combat—a critical advantage when you want to close distance or set up ambushes.

 Level Progression

Start with five levels in Fighter to secure the Extra Attack feature, which is crucial for any combat-focused build. Then take three levels in Rogue for Sneak Attack and your Roguish Archetype. Continue leveling in Fighter to scale up fighting abilities or further in Rogue for additional subterfuge capabilities.

 Equipment

Your gear should reflect your combat style: if you’re building a tanky frontliner, go for heavy armor and a shield; if you’re opting for damage output, select two-handed weapons or dual wield if your Dexterity is high enough.

With this Fighter/Rogue multiclass build, you’ll have the resilience to stand toe-to-toe with fierce opponents and the cunning edge that only a dash of rogueish expertise can supply. Forge ahead, adventurer, and may your blade strike true!
