As A Curly-Haired Beauty Editor, I Can Confirm That These Are The Best Shampoos I’ve Ever Used

Spread the love

As a curly-haired beauty editor, I’ve had my fair share of struggles when it comes to finding the perfect shampoo. It’s a never-ending battle against frizz, dryness, and maintaining those luscious curls. But after many trials and tribulations, I’ve finally narrowed down the list to a few that have not only made a significant difference in the health of my hair but also embraced my natural curls with open arms. Here are the best shampoos I’ve ever used that have truly been a game-changer for my curly locks.

First on the list is Shea Moisture’s Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Shampoo. What I adore about this product is its natural ingredient list, topped with coconut oil and hibiscus extracts that help to detangle and smooth my often unruly curls. It’s sulfate-free, which means it doesn’t strip my hair of its natural oils—a common issue with regular shampoos.

Another favorite is the DevaCurl No-Poo Original. It’s a zero-lather conditioning cleanser which means it cleans without causing any dryness or frizz—something that’s vital for maintaining healthy curls. Rich in moisturizing olive oil and soothing botanics like peppermint, this shampoo is like a spa treatment for your scalp.

The Briogeo Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Avocado Hydrating Shampoo has also made it to the top of my list. Formulated with rice amino acids and avocado oil, it penetrates the hair shaft to effectively lock out frizz-causing environmental moisture while maintaining your curls’ natural vibrancy.

For those looking for a salon-quality option, the Ouidad Advanced Climate Control Defrizzing Shampoo is stellar. It’s formulated with their anti-frizz nano technology which includes silk proteins and seals the hair cuticle to keep humidity out and your curls smooth.

Lastly, I cannot forget about the Kinky-Curly Come Clean Natural Moisturizing Shampoo. This shampoo uses mandarin orange extract to cleanse your scalp thoroughly, while sea kelp maintains proper moisture levels in your hair.

After years of trying different products, these shampoos have not only provided my curly hair with nourishment but have also helped enhance my curls, making them look better than ever—worthy of any beauty editor’s approval!
