Music, madness, and unforgettable memories took center stage at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. Amongst a sea of lights, glitz, and glam, two events truly stole the show: an unexpected NSYNC reunion and Shakira’s hair-raising live performance.

It felt like time reversed when NSYNC appeared on stage, sending waves of nostalgia through the air. Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick proved that their chemistry hadn’t faded. Fans inside the venue and across the world in their living rooms sung along as they performed their hit parade, including “Bye Bye Bye” and “It’s Gonna Be Me.” This reunion was not only a highlight but a poignant moment for those who’ve grown up memorizing their dance routines.

Shakira then took it up a notch with an electrifying showcase that had everyone on their feet. Her performance was spectacular, blending elements from her multi-decade career with new twists that kept the audience captivated. With a mix of her timeless classics and fresh tracks from her latest album, she showed why she remains an iconic figure in pop music.

These show-stopping events were part of a night filled with dazzling performances from today’s top artists and surprising collaborations that nobody saw coming. The 2024 MTV VMAs delivered an experience that will be talked about for years to come, affirming its reputation as a platform where music legends are made.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech.
