All the new phones at CES 2018

CES 2018 has been a spectacular showcase for the latest in mobile technology, with major manufacturers and up-and-coming players unveiling their newest phones to much fanfare. This year we’ve seen devices that push the envelope in terms of design, performance, and features, setting the tone for what’s coming in the mobile industry.
Samsung, as always, made a splash with its Galaxy S9 and S9+. These flagship phones take the best features of their predecessors and add improved cameras with variable aperture settings, allowing users to take stunning photos in any lighting conditions. The Infinity Display continues to impress with its edge-to-edge design and vibrant colors.
Sony introduced its Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra, mid-range phones that focus on delivering high-resolution audio and an impressive camera experience. Both phones feature 23-megapixel rear cameras and multiple front-facing cameras that satisfy selfie enthusiasts and photography buffs alike.
LG used CES to tease its latest innovation, hinting at a new phone that will offer more artificial intelligence integrated into the camera and device operations. Although details were scarce, LG’s commitment to AI suggests a phone that will be more intuitive and responsive to user needs.
Google didn’t announce new hardware but instead focused on spreading its Google Assistant across more devices. This push means we’ll soon see many more phones from different brands incorporating AI features powered by Google’s technology.
As for newcomers, OnePlus continued to disrupt the market with its OnePlus 5T, offering flagship-level specs at a fraction of the cost of other high-end phones. Its Full Optic AMOLED display and dual camera setup show that premium features are not exclusive to premium price tags anymore.
Other notable mentions include Huawei’s Mate 10 Pro which boasts impressive battery life and a smart camera system able to recognize different scenes and adjust settings automatically for better photos. Not forgetting the BlackBerry Motion which aims at business users with its focus on security features and battery life.
From foldable screens to advanced facial recognition technologies, CES 2018 has been an exhibition of where smartphones are heading. Consumers can look forward to advancements that not only enhance functionality but also bring a level of personalization and convenience previously unseen in the mobile world.
