A look at all the Nest products Google announced for the smart home

Google has recently expanded its Nest lineup, offering users a more comprehensive and integrated smart home experience. Among the new products are the Nest Audio, a smart speaker with improved sound quality and Google Assistant integration aimed at music lovers. The Nest Thermostat is redesigned for simplicity and affordability, with energy-saving features and machine-learning capabilities to adapt to your living habits.

Another innovative product is the Nest Cam, which now features higher resolution video capture, enhanced night vision, and more intelligent motion detection for better security monitoring. Similarly, the Nest Doorbell (battery) is a new addition that operates wirelessly and includes a tall field of view to see visitors from head to toe or packages left on the ground.

For home safety, Google has introduced the Nest Protect smoke and CO alarm. It delivers spoken alarms and can send alerts to your phone, ensuring you’re informed even when you’re away from home. Additionally, the indoor Nest Cam with floodlight adds an extra layer of security by illuminating areas of interest when it detects motion.

The company has worked hard to ensure all these devices interact seamlessly with each other and with the Google Home app, making it easier for users to control their smart home ecosystem from one place. With these announcements, Google is poised to deliver an even more intuitive and feature-rich smart home experience to consumers worldwide.

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject.
