Xbox Play Anywhere is a feature introduced by Microsoft that allows gamers to play their favorite games on both their Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. This is great for people who own both devices as it means that they can continue playing their games on whichever device they prefer.

If you’re new to Xbox Play Anywhere, here’s a beginner’s guide to help you get started.

1. Check compatibility

First things first, check if the game you want to play is compatible with Xbox Play Anywhere. Not all games support this feature, so it’s best to double-check before you buy. You can find a list of compatible games on the Xbox website.

2. Buy the game

If the game is compatible, the next step is to buy it. You can purchase Xbox Play Anywhere games through the Microsoft Store. Once you’ve purchased the game, it’s yours to play on both your Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.

3. Sync progress

Xbox Play Anywhere allows you to pick up where you left off on either your Xbox One or Windows 10 PC. To do this, make sure you’re signed in on both devices with the same Microsoft account. Your progress will automatically sync between the two devices.

4. Install the game on both devices

To install the game on both your Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, go to your Microsoft Store library. You’ll see an option to download the game on both devices. Simply select this option and the game will be downloaded and installed on both devices.

5. Play away!

Once the game is installed on both devices, you’re ready to play. Start playing on your Xbox One and then switch over to your Windows 10 PC when you’re ready to continue. The game will pick up right where you left off.

Xbox Play Anywhere is a fantastic feature for gamers who own both an Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. It means that you can play your favorite games on either device and pick up where you left off. With this handy beginner’s guide, you’ll be up and running in no time. Happy gaming!

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject.
