Android devices have become an integral part of our daily lives. They allow us to stay connected with the world, entertain ourselves, and get work done on the go. One of the features that has become increasingly popular is link sharing. Link sharing enables us to easily share links to websites, photos, and videos with others. While this feature can be useful, there might be moments when you need to turn off link sharing. Here are the steps you can follow to turn off link sharing on your Android device.

Step 1: Open your device’s settings

The first step to turning off link sharing on your Android device is to open your device’s settings. You can do this by tapping the gear icon in your quick settings panel or by going to the app drawer and selecting settings.

Step 2: Navigate to the Apps & notifications settings

Once you’ve opened settings, scroll down until you find the Apps & notifications option. Tap on it to navigate to the next page.

Step 3: Select the app you want to disable link sharing

On the Apps & notifications page, locate the app you want to disable link sharing for. You can do this by scrolling down to find the app or using the search bar at the top of the page.

Step 4: Tap on the Advanced settings

After selecting the app, tap on Advanced settings. This will open a new page with additional settings for the app.

Step 5: Turn off the toggle for link sharing

Locate the toggle switch for link sharing in the Advanced settings page. Turn off the toggle by tapping on it. This will disable link sharing for the selected app.

Step 6: Repeat the process for other apps (if necessary)

If you have other apps that you want to disable link sharing for, repeat the previous steps for each one.

In conclusion, link sharing can be a convenient feature for sharing information quickly and easily. However, there might be times when you need to disable this feature to maintain your privacy or limit how others can access your data. By following the steps outlined above, you can easily turn off link sharing on your Android device for different apps.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
